FT/PT Status:Regular Full Time

Job Responsibilities:
  • Constructing and setting up the form work for placement of concrete
  • Perform basic carpentry
  • Assembles column or wall form work (all types: Gang forms, Stick build, Slip forms, etc.)
  • Form, place, and finish concrete
  • Plan, lay-out, and use appropriate hand and power tools to construct various projects according to specifications.
  • Insert spreaders and tie-rods between opposite pieces to maintain specific dimensions
  • Follow jobsite safety regulations and keep your work area safe and clean. Identify potential safety hazards. Eliminate or minimized all identified hazards
  • Strictly adhere to and effectively follow all safety and environmental rules and guidelines
  • Complete all additional duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:
  • Experience working in construction or similar trade preferred
  • Experience in rigging and flagging cranes is a plus
  • 5 + years’ experience in Rough Carpentry and Concrete work
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access military bases
  • Must have reliable means to arrive and leave from work at scheduled start and stop times
  • Communication Skills - Must be able to comprehend safety standards, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to understand information, ideas, direction and perform the task or project discussed.

  • Ability to work overhead
  • Ability to use hands to grasp
  • Ability to reach with arms
  • Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas
  • Ability to repeatedly stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and twist throughout the workday and workweek
  • Ability to frequently lift and /or push/pull up to 30 pounds up to 50 feet
  • Ability to frequently lift to 30 pounds up to 3 feet off the ground
  • Ability to repeatedly operate a 12-pound sledgehammer throughout the entire workday and workweek
  • Ability to climb up and down a 6-foot step ladder and balance
  • Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes
  • Vision adequate to perform all tasks

Work Environment:

  • Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks
  • Employee is regularly exposed to loud noise, dust, airborne particles, fumes, and various types of smells
  • Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and high precarious places
  • Employee is regularly exposed to a variety of inclement weather conditions such as: cold, wet, hot, and/or humid conditions
  • Employee is expected to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area
