Concrete Testing Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
•
Observation and monitoring of all placement of Airfield concrete. Including performance of the separation layer, drainage layer, and airfield concrete
•
Conduct and perform all tests, measurements and record results as directed in the specifications
•
Initiate corrective procedures to correct any deficiencies determined by the execution of their duties
•
Documentation of all measurement parameters required in the current specifications
•
Preparation and presentation of all collected data in written format according to specifications and in an agreed upon format by the client and R.C. Construction Co., Inc..
•
Provide training of technicians/analyst in training to perform all measurements and data collection and testing required for airfield paving according to current specifications
•
Management and direction of all Field Laboratory Equipment and Facilities
•
Management and direction of all technicians directly reporting to them

Job Qualifications:
•
Must possess an insurance approved MVR
•
Must be able to obtain Military base access
•
ACI Field Testing Technician Level I Certification
•
ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level I Certification
•
ACI Flat Work Technician Level I Certification
•
Or ability to obtain above certifications and any other certification requested related to Concrete Paving Field.
Physical Demands
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•
Push a wheelbarrow, loaded with concrete, around a construction site with uneven and
rutted ground surface
•
Lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height
•
Climb in/out of the back of a pick-up truck and shallow trenches
•
Use shovels and picks for digging and sampling
•
Walk and move around formed areas with rebar in-place and various other obstructions,
prior to and during concrete placing activities
•
Bend or squat to lift or move around objects on a construction site
•
Use various hand tools, such as saws, hammers, and wrenches
•
Use specialized equipment for various specific tests (up to 75lbs.) after training
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
•
Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks
•
Employee is regularly exposed to noise, dust, and various types of smells
•
Employee is regularly exposed to wet, hot, and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, and outside weather conditions
•
Employee is expected to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area
