Assistant Project Manager

The purpose of the position: Successfully manage each project from estimate to completion while exceeding the customer’s expectations and focusing on profitability.This is a career opportunity - not just a "job." The individual we select will have extensive experience as a Construction Project Manager. Commercial concrete experience a plus. Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

• Continually monitor all aspects relating to schedule and cost carefully considering fiscal risk

• Finish projects on or under budget.

• Assist the Superintendent where needed, leaving enough latitude for their style and skill set

• Lead the construction team by ensuring quality control systems are in place

• Recognize and effectively deal with unexpected challenges

• Ensure all project documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner

• Effectively communicate with the Owner, Architect, and/or Contracting Agency to ensure there are no surprises

• Maintaining actual costs during construction

• Compile all items on the project closeout checklist

• Be alert to safety issues at all times

• Coordinate Job cost estimates with the Controller

• Maintain and coordinate all project correspondence, required paperwork, documentation, notices, RFI’s, RFQs, Change Orders, etc.


Job Qualifications:


• Minimum 5 years project management experience.

• Commercial concrete experience a plus.

• Army Corps of Engineers experience a plus.

• Excellent computer skills.

• Verifiable references.
